Customer case study - Länsförsäkringar


Background

Länsförsäkringar offers a complete range of banking and insurance services to individuals, companies and farmers. The Länsförsäkringar alliance consists of 24 independent and local regional insurance companies working through the jointly owned Länsförsäkringar AB and its subsidiaries. All the local regional insurance companies have their own websites accessible from www.lansforsakringar.se. The information on these websites is partly derived and partly specific. All the companies get web statistics on their external web sites as well as their intranet.

Project

In 2003, CountQuest was commissioned to install the tool and configure statistical reports for all regional insurance companies. The WebTrends server and the collection server (SDC) are operated and supported by CountQuest. Besides their individual reports in WebTrends, all the companies received a standard PowerPoint presentation each month summarizing the statistics. At monthly meetings, the results of the previous month were discussed and improvement proposals were put forward.

After a number of training sessions for the end users of every company, a traffic analysis group and experts have been appointed over the course of the years. The end users have used the statistics more and more in their daily work and now the PowerPoint presentations have been replaced by more sophisticated analyses generated by the tool.
 
CountQuest has been involved right from the beginning i.e. the creation of the new website which was launched in the spring of 2008. Issues that caused measurement problems earlier could now be resolved before the site went online and web analytics could be further improved. At present, all the applications and pages on lansforsakringar.se are being analysed. The analysis is used at all levels in the company and forms the basis for decisions regarding the website.
