Background

Lantmäteriet (the Swedish mapping, cadastral and land registration authority) is a government agency managed by the Swedish department of the Environment. They are responsible for geographical information, land classification, geographical reference system and determining place names. Lantmäteriet has a comprehensive website with a lot of information. The website provides a number of e-services including services for the public at large as well as contract services for companies/authorities. All the information pages and e-services shall be included in our web analytics platform.

Project

CountQuest has been the analytics partner of Lantmäteriet since 2001. The collaboration began with configuration and setting up of Web Trends and has since expanded to include analysis and an independent development of statistical reports from the tool. CountQuest is responsible for and quality assures the configuration and statistics. Processed reports are developed every quarter when not only every e-service but also the entire Lantmäteriet website is analyzed. Custom training courses and workshops have been arranged at Lantmäteriet on numerous occasions to educate people about web analytics and web statistics. The need for and the interest in web analytics is increasing considerably and the statistics are used at many levels in the organization.
